The following fields are required to complete a Valuation import:

Inventory Number
Valuation Subject
Valuation Status
Value Type
Valuation Date

Inventory Number

You may use your own Inventory numbering system. We recommend that you use a combination of letters and numbers, not simply 1, 2, 3, and so on. Every Inventory number must be unique, and CS will let you know if any inventory numbers in your import sheet are not unique.

Valuation Subject

Every Valuation entry on Collector Systems is required to have a subject. The subject should be unique per Valuation being entered. For example, it may be “Insurance 2017,” or “Equitable Distribution 2016”. The Valuation subject will be visible on the master list of Valuations on your account and it should be written so that you can easily pick the relevant Valuation out from a list.
We do not recommend that you use the Inventory number in the Valuation subject line as one Valuation may include multiple pieces.

Valuation Status

Every Valuation should include a status. For example:

Closed
In Progress
N/A
Pending

You may select from one of the above or enter your own status.

Valuation Type

Please select from the following:

Auction Estimate
Equitable Distribution - business dissolution
Equitable Distribution - divorce
Equitable Distribution - estate planning
Equitable Distribution - net worth
Fair Market Value
Insurance
Insurance - damage
Insurance - inventory
Insurance - loss
IRS-donation
IRS-estate - no spouse
IRS-estate - surviving spouse
IRS-gift
Liquidation - forced
Liquidation - nonforced

You will also be able to enter your own types later on.

Valuation Date

Please enter a date in numerical format, e.g. 1/1/2017

Valuation Currency Type Code

Please enter a 3 letter code for the currency the piece is valued in. For example, USD, GBP, EUR.
