Inventory Tab & Location History

Every time an Object's Location is updated, the system automatically creates an Inventory record for the object.

The Inventory tab holds the full Location history for each Object in your collection.

How it Works

Whenever you update the Location of an object or any of the Inventory fields, CS will automatically create an entry for the previous Location in the Inventory tab. This entry will include any information that was in each of these fields before the latest update:

  • Location (including any Sub-Locations)

  • Inventory Date

  • Inventory Contact

  • Inventory Memo

You can click on the Inventory tab to view the Location history for any object. The Inventory tab appears in the lower set of tabs below the main object details.

Actions that Create Inventory records

New entries are automatically created in the Inventory tab by:

  • Editing the Location, Inventory Date, Inventory Contact, or Inventory Memo field for an object

  • Batch Updating the Location, Inventory Date, Inventory Contact, or Inventory Memo field

Or, by manually:

How to Delete Inventory Records

If you created an Inventory record accidentally (for example, if the Location listed in the Inventory entry has a typo that you have now corrected), you can Delete this entry.

To do so, click on the Inventory tab for the Object, then find the incorrect entry and click Delete.
